State-owned, since the beginning of the year 13 layoffs and 1,931 disciplinary proceedings

“It never stopped during an emergency COVID-19 the detection of disciplinary proceedings by the Inspectorate for Public function. Indeed, since January 1, unlike what happened in previous years, the data are transmitted electronically by administrations in a faster and easier way, thanks to the implementation of ‘Disciplinary Proceedings’, the database on the portal’ PerlaPA ‘which collects communications relating to disciplinary actions against civil servants “. The Public Administration explains this in a note.

“As regards the data for the first quarter, out of 1,931 disciplinary proceedings initiated, 466 have been completed, 1346 are still pending and 119 are suspended for judicial proceedings – continues the note – Of the 466 disciplinary proceedings concluded, 82 have given rise to the imposition of serious sanctions such as 13 layoffs and 69 suspensions from the service “.

The Public Administration further emphasizes: “Specifically, 15 proceedings were initiated for false attestation of the presence in service (the so-called” shrewd tag “), of which as many as eight ended with suspension from service, one led to dismissal , one is suspended for criminal proceedings and five were filed following modification of the initial charge. ”

“Finally, it should be noted that in this very first phase of implementation of the new database, delays in transmission by the public administrations that have initiated the disciplinary procedures may still occur and, therefore, the data are subject to subsequent changes. Thanks to the consolidated and constant use of the IT platform by the PAs, starting from the next four quarters it will be easier to compare the data and analyze the current trends “, concludes the note of the Public Administration.
