After the sharp falls in the second quarter, characterized by the lockdown for coronavirus (-18.3% for electricity and -13.5% for gas), starting from July 1 and for the third quarter of 2020, bills for families in enhanced protection services will still mark a drop for gas, equal to -6.7%, and a rise for electricity, + 3.3%. In detail, the Arera calculates, for electricity the expenditure for the typical family in the sliding year (between 1st October 2019 and 30th September 2020) will be around 496 euros, with a variation of -12.2 % compared to the 12 equivalent months of the previous year (1st October 2018 – 30th September 2019), corresponding to savings of around 69 euros per year.
