The colors and graphics evoke the suggestions and the sportiest past of the Stuttgart pony: the new Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition (price: 188,691 euros) the first of a special series of four collectors’ models, produced to celebrate history of the brand in only 992 copies. The model, which will arrive in Italy in the autumn, is based on the new Targa, which has always been considered the most iconic version of the 911 family, equipped with the most advanced technologies regarding the chassis, the assistance systems and the infotainment system. The Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition by Porsche Exclusive Manifaktur, the department that deals with customizations within the German brand: a model for connoisseurs, which reinterprets classic stylistic elements of the bodywork and interiors, projecting them into the future. In short, a 911 with the most advanced technology combined with refined hints of the 50s and 60s design.

The mechanics that of the 4S with all-wheel drive, 3.0 cc 450 hp biturbo engine, 7-speed manual transmission, or 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, the most powerful of the family, with acceleration with launch control from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds and maximum speed of 304 km / h. Options include the braking system with carbon ceramic discs, the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, the sports exhaust with black or silver silencers, and the Sport Design package. The consumption declared by the House on the mixed cycle is 10.3 – 9.9 l / 100 km, with combined CO2 emissions: 235 – 227 g / km. The car premieres some elements inside the passenger compartment that we will see in the future on all new 911 models through the Heritage Design package.
And for the occasion Porsche Design also created a limited edition chronograph, which will be reserved for future model drivers. Metallic Cherry shades can be chosen for the Heritage Plaque (cherry red), inspired by the Ruby Red and Burgundy Red shades of the past, Pastel black, Guards pastel Red, metallic GT Silver and Crayon. The golden logos and the white livery with numbers available from 0 to 99 on the counters, like the competition sports cars, are a blast from the past, as is the emblem on the rear grill inspired by that of the old 356 cars that exceeded 100 thousand kilometers. Another link between past and present is the historic 1963 Porsche Emblem applied on the hood, steering wheel, hubcap, and car keys, and shown in relief on the headrests. Even the two-tone interiors pay homage to tradition by combining the colors Bordeaux Red and Atacama Beige or alternatively Black and Atacama Beige, with corduroy inserts on the seats and door upholstery that reflect the style of the Porsche 356 and that recall the Zeitgeist of the years ’50. The Porsche 911s of the past are also inspired by the retro-style rev counter and chronometer with green lighting and the Exclusive Manifaktur leather inserts present in several places in the passenger compartment. And on the dashboard panel, passenger side, applied by hand the plate with the progressive number of the specimen.
