The open-world third-person action RPG remaster was confirmed after the leak this morning from the Microsoft Store, albeit in a somewhat unintended form.
The game’s Twitter account, dating back to 2012 and that is the original release under Electronic Arts, has been updated with the new name and a tweet with the first details.
The rumors are true! Prepare for a Re-Reckoning, because Kingdoms of Amalur is coming back.

“The rumors are true!” it is read in the twitter. «Get ready for a Re-Reckoning [una nuova resa dei conti, con un sagace gioco di parole], because Kingdoms of Amalur is returning. “
The game has been «Remastered with incredible graphics and refined gameplay» and it will come “soon” complete with all DLC published for the original release.
The new publisher THQ Nordic has admitted that the announcement was not expected to happen in this way and that there will be time later for a full blown reveal.
The release date has not been confirmed but the appearance of the pre-order on Amazon and an update from the Microsoft Store now speak of August 18 – against the initially leaked date of August 11. The official version still speaks of a generic “summer” for the launch.
It has not been made official who is dealing with this remastering, the first step taken by the intellectual property since the acquisition by THQ Nordic, but the Microsoft Store is named after Kaiko, the Frankfurt software house that has dealt with the remasters of Darksiders.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be sold for $ 39.99 in the standard version and will have an edition for collectors from $ 109.99 complete with the elaborate figures that we show below.
From the first images it would seem a rather basic port, and therefore it would not seem appropriate to expect a 360 degree makeover such as will happen with the remake of Mafia.
Of course, we are waiting for further technical details and the opportunity to get our hands on them before providing judgments of any kind on the upcoming game, at this point, within a few weeks on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
