Naughty Dog also expresses solidarity

Following the death of George Floyd, the United States of America saw a wave of popular outrage, which was followed by the launch of a wide range of protests and demonstrations.

Numerous states were involved in a trend that hasn’t slowed down in the past few days. The tragic events that have affected the North American country in recent days have led to numerous stances by multiple actors. Among the latter, also some software houses, including the Californian Naughty Dog, whose headquarters is located in Santa Monica. Through their official Twitter account, the authors of the Uncharted series and The Last of Us wanted to convey the following message:

This is not the time to be silent. For too long, too many people have suffered from what is a systemic problem in America. Too many have lost sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers. We express our solidarity against racism and injustice.
This is the time when we all have to do our part and end violence and racism towards African American people. Many of us here at Naughty Dog are making donations to local and national organizations. Please take into consideration the possibility of doing the same.
We hope to witness the beginning of a lasting change for people of color in America.

The development team therefore officially takes a stand, inviting its audience to do the same. Recently, the slogan Black Lives Matter has also arrived in Animal Crossing, thanks to the autonomous initiatives by the community.
