Monza, Vicenza and Reggina promoted in Serie B

The Federal Council has ratified the definitive stop of Serie C. The three teams in command of their respective groups rise in category

The Football Federation Council confirmed the end of the Serie C regular season and consequently ratified the promotion to Serie B of Monza, Vicenza and Reggina, who at the time of the suspension for the pandemic were in command of the three group rankings. In Group A, Brocchi’s Monza was first at +16 on the Carrarese, second. Same points (61) for Vicenza in Group B, while Reggina broke the pass in Group C with 69 points in 30 games.

Party announced

Waiting for the official press release, the one from Monza had arrived and has already called a press conference for tomorrow morning to celebrate the return to the cadet series after 19 years. Vicenza, on the other hand, was relegated to C in 2017, exacerbating an already ongoing corporate crisis. Declared bankrupt and put into provisional exercise, in the following season Vicenza even risked relegation to the fourth series, but managed to save itself by winning the double salvation play-off against Santarcangelo. For Reggina instead it is a return to B that has been missing for six seasons. The amaranth seal this way a wonderful season: 21 wins, 6 draws, 3 defeats in the 30 games played before the stop, with an advantage over Bari of nine points. And even better attack and better defense of the championship, in addition to 11 consecutive victories.

Lega Pro

The Lega Pro instead will start with playoffs and playouts, to establish the latest promotion and the various relegations: Gozzano, Rimini and Rieti will restart from Serie D.
