Milan-Donnarumma, a twist in the renewal negotiation

The Milan accelerates for renewal of GianluigiGigio ’Donnarumma. The Rossoneri goalkeeper, requested in the past weeks since Chelsea, has received an offer from the club with which he is currently connected and who does not want to let him go. According to “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Milan wants to maintain the current salary of 6 million per season, but promised the goalkeeper born in 1999 a contract with easier exit possibilities and a central role in the new technical project.

The same ‘Rosea’ specifies that the Rossoneri want to meet the requests of the Donnarumma prosecutor, Mino Raiola, ensuring a short renewal and a termination clause that does not exceed 50 million euros. In addition, a clause would be included in the contract that would allow Donnarumma to change shirts in the event that Milan should not win the Champions League qualification.

A meeting with the AC Milan CEO is scheduled shortly, Ivan Gazidis. The feeling, in any case, is that it won’t go as long as in 2017, when the negotiations between the leadership of the time (other than the current one) and the goalkeeper were rather painful and led to a hard dispute against Donnarumma despite the renewal.

The disappointing seasons of the AC Milan team, however satisfactory for the goalkeeper from the point of view of the individual performance, have brought the parties closer together, but if the company’s ambitious project still does not lead to concrete results, the same player could decide without major obstacles to change the air.

Donnarumma defended the Rossoneri’s goal for the first time in the season 2015/2016 and since then it has been one of the strong points of the team. However, the ambitious is on his trail Chelsea, who aims to change goalkeeper after the good but not exceptional performances (especially if compared to the investment of 80 million euros) of the Basque Kepa.
