Berlin, 5 June 2020 – New developments on the case of Maddie McCann, the missing girl 3 years old in May 2007 in Praia de Luz, Portugal, where he was on vacation with his parents. Stendal’s German prosecutor is investigating to see if there is a link between the disappearance of little Maddie and a similar disappearance in 2015 of a 5 year old German girl of Saxony Anhalt, Inge. This morning the local newspaper “Magdeburger Volksstimme” had reported that the suspected murderer Maddie, Christian Brueckner, had purchased a property in Neuwegersleben (Saxony-Anhalt) right in the vicinity where little Inge had disappeared during a trip with her parents on May 2, 2015.

The 43-year-old German multi-judge Christian Bruckner, previously convicted of various pedophilia and non-sexual offenses, revealed in these hours by investigators from Braunschweig, Germany, as the main suspect of the disappearance and alleged murder of Maddie, would have entered the radar of the police forces of the various countries involved since 2017 .

The media of the Kingdom report it, taking up indiscretions from across the border according to which Bruckner he would betray himself by bragging to a partner of drinking to know “what had happened” to Maddie while they both watched in a German bar on television a report on the tenth anniversary of the case. The episode, not confirmed for now by any official source, would go back to 2017: the same year in which it appears that the name of the suspect also reached Scotland Yard’s ear, albeit initially without a follow-up.
