ROME – The total number of people infected with coronavirus in Italy since the beginning of the pandemic is 234,013, with an increase compared to yesterday of 177 cases. The figure is decreasing compared to yesterday, when there was an increase of 321 units. In Lombardy there are 84 new infections, a decrease compared to yesterday, when they were 237.
Across the country, 88 coronavirus-related deaths have occurred in the past 24 hours (including 29 in Lombardy), up from 71 yesterday. The dead rise to 33,689.
The healed and the discharged rose to 161,895 (+957), while the people currently ill are 38,429 (-868). There are 338 ICU patients, down 15 units in 24 hours. Of these, 125 are in Lombardy (-6). On the other hand, there are 5503 patients hospitalized with symptoms, with a drop of 239 compared to yesterday.
