Immuni, the contact tracing app, should already contribute to this downloaded by 2 million Italians, but that doesn’t convince many people. How Matteo Salvini, who yesterday distanced himself from the initiative: “I will not download it – said the leader of the League – until I have absolute guarantee of how my data is processed and stored”. The App was “developed in full compliance with Italian and European privacy legislation”, the Minister of Innovation replied, Paola Pisano, recalling – as the emergency commissioner, Domenico Arcuri had already done in Parliament – that the only data protection owner (physical conservation is entrusted to Sogei, a company wholly owned by the State) is the Ministry of Health and that in any case, the data will be canceled or permanently anonymised by December 31, 2020.
“Immuni is useful in this moment of resumption of activities – added the minister – to move safely, decrease the probability of the emergence of sudden outbreaks and to protect ourselves and the people we care about. The greater the number of people who download the app and the greater the chance that you will be warned if you come into contact with a positive case “. To those who have already downloaded it, however, those who have a Huawei or Honor smartphone can also be added. They are still excluded a small part of devices put on the market starting from last fall (Huawei Mate 30, P40, Y Series, the folding Mate Xs and Honor 9X Pro), but it is already at work, say the developers, to make the app compatible “soon”.
However, the problem of rules remains. He was born in social distancing, above all, as fundamental as the prohibition of assembly. Because if the numbers are not a cause for concern, there are still active outbreaks, such as the Roman one of San Raffaele-Pisana where it is already at 41 positives. Or even in Lombardy, unique throughout Italy. To understand how the virus moves in that region, the ATS data from Bergamo is enough: of the almost 10 thousand citizens who underwent serological tests from April 23 to June 3, 57% were positive. One out of two. Meanwhile, the Red Cross has announced that the serological investigation to map the circulation of the virus throughout Italy has been extended to the end of June.
