Alessandro Di Battista, the most riotous of the grillini, admits that he never wanted the government with the Democratic Party, but this is not why he is ready to make him fall. “I don’t want to pick the executive – he explains in an interview with Il Fatto Quotidiano – A political executive is needed at this stage: the worst thing that could happen to us would be a technical or national unity executive”. On the other hand, “I’m a grillino, not a fool” and this is not the time to drop Conte, in short.
After the sweet words, however, the bitter ones come. Dibba in fact cannot help but issue a clear warning: “I want to increase the bargaining power of the Movement in the government because I believe that the current one is not proportionate to the 33 percent taken to the 2018 policies”. With this – he points out – it does not mean that he wants to become political leader, far from it, “my interest is another, I am willing to lend a hand to certain conditions concerning ideas and attitude, I am not looking for roles”.
