“Died from compression asphyxiation”

Floyd, new autopsy: Died from compression asphyxiation

George Floyd died of asphyxiation due to compression of the neck and back. These are the conclusions of the independent autopsy conducted at the request of the family on the body of the man who died during a police arrest in Minneapolis. Two coroners reported it. “The evidence that emerged coincided with a mechanical asphyxia as the cause of death,” said Dr. Allecia Wilson who spoke of “murder.”

Dr. Michael Baden said in turn that Floyd died of “asphyxiation” from compression of the neck and back. The autopsy shows “that there are no pre-existing medical problems that caused or contributed to his death. He was in good health, “he concluded.

George Floyd’s funeral will take place on June 9 at 11 am in Houston, Texas. The announcement was made by the lawyer who assists the family, Ben Crump. A funeral memorial will instead be held, as previously announced, in Minneapolis on Thursday from 1pm to 3pm local time.
