Coronavirus, the Today’s Bulletin Tuesday 16 June 2020. To date, the total number of people who have contracted the virus is 237,500, with an increase compared to yesterday of 210 new cases, of which 68% recorded in Lombardy. In six regions and in Trento and Bolzano today there are zero infections: these are Basilicata, Molise, Calabria, Valle d’Aosta, Puglia and Campania.
The total number of currently positive is 24,569, with a decrease of 1,340 clients compared to yesterday. Among the currently positive, 177 are undergoing intensive care, with a decrease of 30 patients compared to yesterday. 3,301 people are hospitalized with symptoms, with a decrease of 188 patients compared to yesterday. 21,091 people, equal to 86% of the currently positive, are in isolation without symptoms or with mild symptoms.
Compared to yesterday, 34 died and bring the total to 34,405. The overall number of those discharged and recovered rises to 178,526, with an increase of 1,516 people compared to yesterday.
In the latest bulletin released yesterday, 26 deaths and 301 new cases of Covid-19 had been reported to the civil protection, a decrease compared to Sunday 14 June, when there had been 44 deaths and 338 new infections, but to fall significantly also the number of swabs made,

The regions with the highest percentage growth compared to yesterday confirmed Lombardy (+ 0.16%) and Lazio. In Sardinia two cases including a migrant from the Monastir reception center.

The deaths since the beginning of the coronavirus emergency are 16,466 in Lombardy overall, +9 in the last 24 hours. This is what emerges from the data released today by the Region Lombardy. The overall total of the positives found in Lombardy since the start of the pandemic to date is 92,060, while the new cases are 143, of which 54 referring to post-serological tests (2.03% the ratio with daily swabs). Currently the positives are 15,233 (-743 compared to yesterday). Milan today the province with more new cases of Covid-19 in Lombardy: compared to yesterday 42 new positives (total at 23,905), of which 18 in Milan city (10,174 in total). In detail, there are 13,909 cases in Bergamo (+12), Brescia 15,337 (+11), Como 4,018 (+10), Cremona 6,559 (+3), Lecco 2,801 (=), Lodi 3,549 (+8), Mantua 3,419 ( +12), Monza and Brianza 5,663 (+7), Pavia 5,494 (+6), Sondrio 1,541 (+1), Varese 3,823 (+22).
The numbers on hospitalizations are encouraging: people admitted to ICU drop by 25 units (to 69) and non-intensive hospitalizations drop by 116 (to 1,902). “It is important to underline that of the 143 positives reported today – commented the regional councilor for Welfare Giulio Gallera – a relevant number refers to long-standing infections.
Specifically 54 are to be attributed to regional serological screening (of which 18 are ‘weakly positive’).
13 new cases of coronavirus in Emilia Romagna of which 9 asymptomatic people identified through regional screening. Active cases continue to decline, namely the number of actual patients, which today are 1,405 (-95 compared to yesterday): 106 new healings, for a total of 22,483: 80% of those infected since the beginning of the crisis. People in solitary confinement at home, that is, those with mild symptoms, who do not require hospital treatment, or are symptom-free, total 1,214, -85 compared to yesterday: over 86% of those sick. The ICU patients are 11 (- 2), those hospitalized in the other Covid wards are 180 (-8). Unfortunately, there are 2 new deaths: two men, 1 death occurred in Ferrara and 1 in Rimini. These are the new cases of positivity in the area, which refer not to the province of residence, but to that in which the diagnosis was made: 4,527 in Piacenza (+4), 3,611 in Parma (+2), 4,972 in Reggio Emilia ( + 1), 3,935 in Modena (+2), 4,707 in Bologna (+2); 402 in Imola (no new cases); 1,008 in Ferrara (+1). There are 4,935 positive cases in Romagna (+1), of which 1,036 in Ravenna (no new cases), 948 in Forlì (no new cases), 782 in Cesena (no new cases) and 2,169 in Rimini (+1).
There are 6 deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test reported in the afternoon by the Region’s Crisis Unit Piedmont, of which nobody, at the moment, registered today. As for the infections, 31,090 (+ 29 compared to yesterday, of which 27 asymptomatic and of the 29, 24 screening, 2 in RSA, 1 contact and 2 assessment phase), the people who have so far tested positive at Covid-19 in Piedmont, 4019 Alessandria, 1866 Asti, 1042 Biella, 2830 Cuneo, 2748 Novara, 15.803 Turin, 1.316 Vercelli, 1117 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 260 residents outside the region, but in charge of the Piedmontese health facilities. The remaining 89 cases are in the process of being elaborated and territorially assigned. 28 inpatients in intensive care (unchanged from yesterday), 472 inpatients not in intensive care (-45 compared to yesterday). There are 1950 people in home isolation. 372,948 diagnostic swabs have been processed so far, of which 205,447 were negative.
In Liguria 4 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, while 78 people have been hospitalized, 11 fewer than yesterday, of which 2 in intensive care and 6448 patients recovered with two consecutive negative tests, 39 more than yesterday. Finally, 391 people are under active surveillance in the four Ligurian provinces. 1914 people currently coronavirus positive, 39 fewer than yesterday and 1527 victims since the beginning of the emergency, 4 more than yesterday.
In Lazio there are 9 new positive covid patients, one of which refers to the outbreak of San Raffaele Pisana in Rome. There have been 3 deaths in the last 24 hours, while 169 have been cured.
In Tuscany there are 10,191 cases of positivity to coronavirus, 3 more than yesterday. The currently positive are today 463, -5.3% compared to yesterday. There are 3 new deaths: 1 man and 2 women, with an average age of 86.3 years. In detail there are 3,513 total cases to date in Florence, 569 in Prato, 680 in Pistoia, 1,051 in Massa, 1,366 in Lucca, 897 in Pisa, 558 in Livorno, 686 in Arezzo (3 more), 441 in Siena, 430 in Grosseto. Therefore, there are zero cases found today in the Central ASL, 0 in the North West, 3 in the South East.
A migrant, hosted in the Monastir reception center, in the province of Cagliari, tested positive for Coronavirus. The crisis unit of the region confirms this Sardinia where to date there are a total of 1,365 cases of positivity at Covid-19. In addition to the case of the migrant, a second one is registered in Sassari. In total, 70,202 tests were performed on the island. There are a total of 13 patients hospitalized, none in intensive care, while 20 are people in home isolation, 1,200 people recovered. The number of victims remains unchanged, 132 in all. On the territory, of the 1,365 positive cases ascertained overall, 252 were detected in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, 99 (+1 compared to the last bulletin) in Southern Sardinia, 59 in Oristano, 79 in Nuoro, 876 (+1) in Sassari.
In Abruzzo compared to yesterday there was an increase of 1 new case, out of a total of 628 swabs analyzed while 67 patients (-4 compared to yesterday) were hospitalized in non-intensive care; 3 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 398 (-14 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. The number of positive cases also includes 457 deceased patients (+ 1 compared to yesterday). The death refers to a 90 year old from Montesilvano; 2355 discharged / healed (+18 compared to yesterday, of which 120 who became symptomatic with clinical manifestations associated with Covid 19, became asymptomatic and 2235 that resolved the symptoms of the infection and were negative in two consecutive tests).
No new cases in Puglia where unfortunately there is a death, in the province of Foggia.
No deaths and no new infections today Campania. The crisis unit of the Campania Region announces that 1,282 swabs have been examined in the last 24 hours, none of which tested positive. the total of positives in Campania since the beginning of the emergency therefore remains 4,613, while the overall total of the swabs analyzed is 242,662. the total of the deceased remains 430. 3910 healed (3,903 totally healed and 7 clinically healed) with an increase of 16 units compared to yesterday.
Still zero cases in Calabria to date 81,219 swabs have been made. 1,162 people tested positive for Coronavirus (+0 compared to yesterday) while positive cases are distributed as follows: Catanzaro: 15 in the ward; 1 in home isolation; 168 healed; 33 deceased. Cosenza: 1 in the ward; 12 in home isolation; 421 healed; 34 deceased. Reggio Calabria: 2 in the ward; 4 in home isolation; 252 healed; 19 deceased. Croton: 112 healed; 6 deceased. – Vibo Valentia: 1 in home isolation; 76 healed; 5 deceased “.
