The Knesset, the Israeli parliament, was closed after a member of the United Arab List, Sami Abu Shehadeh, announced that he was positive for the coronavirus and that he entered quarantine two days ago. All meetings of the various committees were therefore postponed to a new date and employees were told not to go to work.

In the last few days, after the end of the lockdown, there has been a resurgence of the virus in Israel, especially in schools.
