The World Health Organization (WHO) “does not recommend the use of gloves” in public places, such as supermarkets, to counter the spread of Covid-19. Indeed, the use of gloves can also be harmful when touching contaminated surfaces and then your face. This is what can be read on the organization’s website in the ‘Questions and Answers’ section on the most effective ways to defend against contagion. “Therefore – adds WHO – in public places, such as supermarkets, in addition to physical distance, we recommend the installation of distributors for hand hygiene at the entrance and exit”. “By significantly improving hand hygiene practices – the Organization concludes – countries can help prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus”.
