“Today we have taken a step forward. The right climate is converging, converging”: the premier said about the EU summit. “We will have a recovery fund project that will be linked to the multiannual financial framework. Europe will win, because it will have prepared a coherent and coordinated response, up to this recession,” added Conte at the end of the States General.

THE PRESS POINT OF THE PREMIER – VIDEO

“We will have a recovery fund project that will connect to the multiannual financial framework. Europe will win – he underlined – because it will have prepared a coherent and coordinated response, up to this recession”

“I don’t even want to consider such an eventuality. We must be optimistic,” said the Prime Minister, speaking of the possibility for Italy to veto the EU budget if it does not get what it asks for on the recovery fund.

“The red line” of Italy “is that the Commission’s proposal is ambitious, to go below that level is not acceptable. It is a well-balanced package of subsidies and loans, touching it means dismantling a complex project and it is not acceptable”.

“On Mes the answer does not change – he noted: we will read the regulations, we will go to Parliament and we will discuss them”.
