British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair on war footing for quarantine – LondonNews

The three airlines have threatened to seek a judicial review of the British government’s quantena law that comes into effect on Monday June 8.

It seems clear that if all those arriving in the UK from any country in the world have to do 14 days of quarantine, the airlines will be the first to lose.

British Airways wrote a letter denouncing the law which it believes is irrational and which will not work. Instead, it would prefer a law that imposes only quarantine on those arriving from places with a high number of coronavirus infections and not on all countries on the ground.

The other two airlines have not signed the letter but claim to support British Airways.

British Airways and EasyJet are already laying off staff and an indefinite quarantine would worsen the situation.
