Brebemi: Aleatica takes over controlling interests from Intesa


Aleatica has signed an agreement to acquire from Intesa Sanpaolo its controlling interests in the Brebemi. The transaction, reads a note, “subject to negotiation for months now, has been agreed on a bilateral basis, pursuant to an exclusive agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo”.

Aleatica is a subsidiary of Ifm Global Infrastructure Fund, which is in turn owned by Ifm Investors. In the highway sector, it manages approximately 1,350 kilometers of roads in Australia, North America, South America and Europe.

Brebemi manages a 62 km motorway section, operational since 2014, which connects Milan and Brescia and operates on the basis of a long-term concession contract which expires in 2040.

The closing of the transaction is expected not before October 2020, as the transaction is subject to regulatory authorizations.
