To date, Monday 8 June 2020, since the start of the pandemic COVID-19 in Italy at least 235,278 people have contracted the virus (+280 compared to yesterday, when the increase had been 197 subjects). Of these, the victims are 33,964 (+65) and 166,584 were discharged (+747). The currently positive are 34,730 (-532). There are 4,729 patients hospitalized with symptoms (-135), of which 283 in intensive care (-4).

Seven regions record zero new cases of contagion: these are Abruzzo, Umbria, Calabria, Valle d’Aosta, Sardinia, Molise and Basilicata. Those with a single case are, however, Sicily, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Puglia, Trentino-Alto Adige. Moving the gaze on Lombardy, are counted 194 new cases that raise the number of people currently ill to 19319: 107 in intensive care (+0), 2708 hospitalized with symptoms (-93), 16504 in home isolation (-8). The total dead are 16302 (+32), the healed 54768 (+263).
