Virus, Latin America: 1,600 more dead


(ANSA) – BUENOS AIRES, MAY 26 – They continue to make themselves heard
the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in Latin America, with
a new strong increase in the last 24 hours of both infections
(765.662, +31.000), both of the dead (41.462, +1.600). And how much
emerges today from a statistical processing carried out by ANSA
on data regarding 34 Latin American countries and territories. The
Brazil, solidly the second most affected country in the world after the
United States, it recorded 374,898 infections and 23,473 deaths.
Peru follows in second place (123,979 and 3,626), and third
Chile (73,997 and 761).
Coronavirus deaths in the United States in the past 24 hours
were instead 532. This is what emerges from the data of Johns
