Belgian police arrested 13 people as part of an investigation into the death of 39 Vietnamese migrants locked inside a refrigerator truck in Britain last October. Those arrested have been taken in a series of raids in different areas of Brussels, the investigators explained, specifying that they are suspected of operating a human trafficking network.

Another 13 people were arrested in France, as announced by the Paris prosecutor.

On October 23 of last year 2019 the corpses of 31 men, 8 women and two 15-year-old boys were found aboard a truck in the industrial area of ​​Grays, in east London. The truck came from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge.
