Frontal clash between Donald Trump is Twitter, the social platform that the president of United States of AmericaStrong of its 80 million followers, it uses very often for its announcements and political messages. For the first time, the San Francisco company reported two Trump tweets with the "verify the facts" warning and a link explaining that the US president's statements are unfounded, according to the 'CNN', the 'Washington Post' and other media.

In the reported messages, Trump spoke of risk of electoral fraud after California Governor Gavin Newsom and other Democratic colleagues introduced or are considering the possibility of vote by mail because of the coronavirus.

A Twitter spokesman, as reported by ‘Ansa’, reported that Trump’s tweets “contain potentially misleading information about the voting process and have been tagged to provide additional context.”

The move came a few hours after the same platform refused to cancel the tweets in which the US president re-launched the conspiracy theory that the former deputy and now host of ‘Msnbc’, Joe Scarborough, his arch critic, may have played a role in the death in 2001 of a former parliamentary assistant, Lori Klausutis. The request to remove the chirps had been made by the woman’s widower.

The Twitter report triggered the prompt reaction of Donald Trump, who said on the same platform: “Twitter is interfering in the 2020 presidential election. They are saying that my statement on the vote by mail, which will lead to massive corruption and fraud, is incorrect, based on fact-checking by the Fake News CNN and the Washington Post. ”

Also Trump, who in recent days announced that he is taking hydroxychloroquine, for which AIFA suspended the authorization to use a few hours ago, said: “Twitter is completely suppressing free speech and I, as president, will not allow that to happen! ”
