Turin: Grenade fans in Superga pay homage to the victims of Heysel | A league

Sweaters, scarves and even some masks of the turin but above all, a banner with written “+39”: so some grenade fans wanted to remember and pay homage to the victims of the Heysel massacre (tomorrow marks the 35th anniversary). To display their banner, the grenade fans chose a symbolic place in Turin’s history as it is Superga, the place where another tragedy took place on May 4, 1949 for Italian football and beyond: on the embankment of the Basilica the plane crashed that brought home the players of the Grande Torino after a trip to Lisbon. A tragedy, exactly like that of Heysel, which goes beyond the colors, as the group of fans of Toro has shown.
