Ten new accommodations by July 2021. Work has resumed on the “O” staircase in via Tagliacozzo 3. The construction site, which started at the beginning of the year after two decades of waiting, had stopped due to the new Coronavirus emergency. However, as early as 11 May, the workers had resumed the renovation which, on the morning of 28 May, was the scene of a joint inspection by Ater and the Lazio Region.
“After twenty years of stalemate, thanks to a loan from the Lazio Region of around 1.5 million euros, the entire redevelopment program of the Ater complexes in via Tagliacozzo 3 can be restarted” explained President Zingaretti. the building renovation and renovation of the complex had a troubled path. The first works were started in 1997 but then, over the past 8 years, they stopped. “Once again we have restarted a system that had jammed,” explained Zingaretti. Thanks to the new impulse of the Region, after the suspension caused by Covid, the operations are definitively restarted.
Elevators and thermal coats
The completion of the ten accommodations in via Tagliacozzo is not the only intervention that Ater and the Region has arranged in the quadrant. In the nearby via Venafro, in fact, the elimination of architectural barriers is foreseen with the creation of 12 external elevators. Thanks to a loan of just over 2.5 million euros, the 120 families who live in lot 17 will benefit from it. The works have been financed by the region and the works, in this case, will start in September to be completed after 600 days, then for July 2023. These will then be followed by the renovation of the thermal coats with an investment of an additional 2.5 million euros.
The new housing
As for the complex in via Tagliacozzo “since 1997 the building was waiting to be completed – explained during the press conference Andrea Napoletano, general manager of Ater Roma – ten new apartments will be built there and will be completed by July 2021 and there will also be an elevator. But it is not an intervention that concerns only new buildings, because it will lead to a redevelopment of the entire quadrant since, for example, an equipped area will also arise here ”
The investments of the Region
“In the triangle between via Venagro and via Tagliacozzo we invest 6 and a half million euros and we will also arrange two green areas which, through a consultation that will start ATER with the residents, will be equipped according to the needs that will emerge, with playgrounds, fitness areas, areas games – the councilor for housing policies Massimiliano Valeriani explained to Romatoday – We are doing this work in all the suburbs, also in Cesano, Torrevecchia, Primavalle, Ponte di Nona, Laurentino 38, Tor Vergata, Corviale and Ostia, together with numerous works of modernization of the Ater complexes, such as in Torre Maura, Tor Sapienza and in other districts of the capital. It is our way, where there is Ater heritage, to help improve the quality of life in the suburbs “.
The new apartments of Ater
The intervention on Tiburtino III is part of the three-year public residential building plan launched in 2019 with a regional financing of approximately 70 million euros. They will serve to build over 700 new accommodations in the city of Rome. The first 30 apartments in have already been delivered. The next 120 accommodations, however, said the institutional representatives who attended the inauguration of the via Tagliacozzo construction site, will be completed in the coming months.
