Needless to turn around, with the first attempt to update to Android 10 for Mi A2 Lite, Xiaomi has made a real fool. The problems caused by the new firmware in some cases have caused permanent damage to the unfortunate devices on which it was installed, while for the lucky ones a guide has been made available for the downgrade, without aftermath. Now, however, the Chinese giant try again and hopefully this time he did everything right.
Although Xiaomi hasn’t officially announced it yet, they come reports also from Italy about the distribution of a new firmware based on the latest version of the green robot for the manufacturer’s second generation of Android One smartphones. L’OTA has a weight of 1.15 GB and the news is what we expect from Android 10.
Mindful of what happened in the past weeks, we recommend to owners of Mi A2 Lite of proceed with caution and, even if they receive notification of updates, wait for the first ones feedback from the network, to make sure that the new firmware does not bring other serious dowries bugs.
We thank Giovanni for the report.
Although this time there were no major hitches, it seems that not all Mi A2 Lite owners have been reached by the update to Android 10 released in April. So here is that Xiaomi has started the release of a third firmware based on the latest version of the green robot, version number 126.96.36.199.QDLMIXM, complete with May security patch. For those still stuck at Android Pie, the weight of the OTA will be 1.15 GB, for those who had already updated to Android 10, it will be 13.75 MB.
