The League of A to the Government: ‘Italian Cup semi-finals at 12 and 13 June’ – La Gazzetta dello Sport

One more day to have more space for the final of 17 in Rome. However, a new decree signed by Ministers Spadafora and Speranza is needed

The Serie A League has officially asked the government to be able to anticipate the return to the competitive activity of football by a further day, playing Juve-Milan and Napoli-Inter, the semi-finals of the Italian cup, on 12 and 13 June, and not the 13th and the 14th. Objective: to have an extra day away for the final scheduled on the 17th at the Olympic stadium in Rome 50 years after the legendary Italy-Germany 4-3 of the Azteca.

A decree is needed

The answer will come in the next few hours. However, the change of plans requires a different path. In the case of matches on 13 and 14, the dpcm on the next reopenings signed by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte would have been enough, which would have had to change the current text, which forbids events “until June 14”. The request for advance makes it necessary, for reasons of time, a ministerial decree which should be signed by the minister of sport, Vincenzo Spadafora, and by that of health, Roberto Speranza.
