The Last of Us Part II, problems on Day One for Amazon?

The Last of Us Part II will finally be released on the PlayStation 4 console starting next June 19 of this year, after two postponements (the latest of which was due to the health emergency for the coronavirus).

There are only a few days left before the launch of the new title Naughty Dog, although there may now be some problems related to Amazon and upon delivery of copies of the title to Day One for anyone who made the preorder.

In fact, some emails received from the buyers of the game indicate that Ellie and Joel’s new adventure will only be delivered to him on June 23, 2020i.e. 4 days after the official launch.

Part of the message states that:

We will not be able to deliver this item to you on the date initially indicated in the summary of your order due to the spread of COVID-19. […] We confirm that your pre-order will not be canceled and will have a new delivery date: June 23, 2020. We are doing our best to ship your order as soon as possible.

In short, a (new) cold shower that will certainly not please those who waited with open arms for the highly anticipated PS4 title. Recall that the game was also marred by the latest leak linked to the story, which saw many and important details on the plot revealed on the web prematurely.

We will see if Amazon decides to respect Day One in any case, or indeed other days will have to pass before buyers can get their hands on the title. We will keep you posted.
