The first The Last of Us it was released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, then arriving a year later on the current generation console, not equipped with this feature.
According to reports, Sony would have asked developers to work on PS4 games to implement support for PlayStation 5 starting next July.
In an event in March, the Japanese company has revealed that the main current-gen titles will be playable on the next platform, equipped with native backwards compatibility contrary to the current one.
PS5 gameshowever, they will not be made available on PS4 as well.
“Hopefully this game will define the generation,” Ryan commented on the action adventure due out on PlayStation 4 in June.
