The Last Of Us Part 2 spawned on social media lower numbers compared to those of the aforementioned Ghost of Tsushima but also of other Sony games such as God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man, the latter two by far the most talked about regarding the exclusive PlayStation.
Ghost of Tsushima’s State of Play would have involved over 180,000 players while in the case of The Last Of Us 2 the number of active commentators would be approximately 98,000 people simultaneously. However, these figures should not be misleading, as explained by the same insider, since many players may have decided to ignore the transmission to avoid spoilers and advances after the leaks that emerged in late April.
Note that the data are not related to the viewers of the broadcast but only to the activities and involvement on social media. Ghost of Tsushima’s State of Play is the most watched ever with 1.3 million viewers and over four million views for the official gameplay on YouTube.
Benji-Sales anyway expects very high sales for The Last Of Us Part 2 and praised Naughty Dog’s work in the communication and presentation phase of the project.
