First the Council, then the Assembly. The idea of restarting on 20 June with the four missing matches or of recovering them in the following midweek round is under consideration. And launch the times, after the protests of the players for the races in the afternoon in the summer heat
The Italian Cup final
The new element, which has not failed to trigger discussions, is the idea of inserting the Italian Cup between 13 and 17 June, before the Serie A restart on 20 June. The Council’s plan was to start again with the four recoveries to be played (Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Cagliari, Inter-Sampdoria and Turin-Parma), preceded by the return semi-finals of the Italian Cup but not by the final.
To be decided
But the bowls are not stopped and the best adjustments are still being sought. Starting precisely from the sequence of the days: follow the order of the calendar and immediately start again on June 20, in fact, with the recoveries of the 25th day? Or start with the 27th and recover those four games in the immediately following midweek shift? And then the times: the players contest the idea of the League to divide the games into three bands: 5.15pm, 7.30pm and 9.45pm. But in the summer, the players say, it’s too hot to go on the pitch in the afternoon.
