After waiting perhaps longer than necessary for the update to Android 10, Galaxy Fold now wants to run faster. Samsung has indeed begun to release a new one update, which brings the dowry May 2020 security patch, as well as several new features for the photographic sector.
The new firmware is identified by the version number F900FXXU3BTDD and introduces many photographic features already seen at the time of the launch of the new Galaxy S20 family. It’s about Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, the Pro mode for videos, custom filters and the ability to register 4K video at 60 fps also through the front camera.

For the moment, the update is addressed to LTE variant Galaxy Fold, sold on the French market for example, but it should be soon also extended to the 5G variant sold in Italy.
From the network there are reports of a new update also for the Galaxy S20 and Note 1o series, with the dowry May 2020 security patch. The new firmware for the Galaxy S20 has the version number G98xxXXS2ATD5while for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ it is N97xFXXS4CTD1. Both will be gradually rolled out to all devices over the next few days.
Reports from the release of the May 2020 security patches also come from Belgium and the Netherlands for Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy S10e. The new firmware has the version number G97xFXXS5CTD1 and soon it should also touch the other European countries.
The same goes for the other Samsung fold, that is Galaxy Z Flip (version number F700FXXS1ATD9), and for the only mid-range smartphone so far achieved by this round of updates, or Galaxy A50 (version number A505FNXXS4BTCA).
After distributing them already on the different models, Samsung has explained in more detail the content of the latest security patches. In addition to fix made by Google, the Korean manufacturer has further fixed 19 vulnerabilities discovered in recent weeks in Samsung firmware.
May 2020 security patches continue to spread on Samsung-branded smartphones. Today it’s up to Galaxy A5 (2017) it’s at Galaxy A8 (2018), with version number of the new firmware respectively A520FXXSECTD7 is A530FXXSCCTE1.
Also Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 + and Galaxy Note 9 are added to the list of Samsung smartphones updated with the May 2020 security patches. For the first two, the new firmware is the version number G96xFXXS9DTD7, for Note 9 it is instead N960FXXS5DTE2. Updates go to to solve even a long-standing flaw, only recently discovered.
Samsung has also started releasing the latest security patches for Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy A5 (2017). Respectively, the new firmware have version number N950FXXSBDTE6 is A520FXXUECTDA.
The second monthly update for the series arrives Galaxy S20. Firmware is the number G98xxXXU2ATE6 and, in addition to the security patches, which are always those of May 2020, also brings improvements for the photographic sector. In particular, the shots obtained through the night mode are of better quality and system autofocus has been further fixed.
Reports come from several European countries regarding the release of the May 2020 security patches for Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy J8. The new firmware have the version number respectively G770FXXS2BTE2, A305FDDS5BTE3 and J810FJXU4BTE2.

Three other Samsung devices are receiving the May 2020 security patches in these hours.
