Last Monday Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed to the public what the first free game of the PS Plus of June 2020 for PS4 is. For the first time, in fact, Sony did not present both games in one fell swoop, but divided the announcement into two days. The most recent rumors pointed to Marvel’s Spider-Man, the masterpiece of Insomniac Games, as a second video game as a gift, but now an official confirmation has arrived on which game will join the service: Star Wars Battlefront 2.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is one first person multiplayer shooter but unlike the first chapter, it also includes a single player campaign. It allows us to face pitched battles within the environments most loved by the Star Wars audience, as well as, obviously, impersonating the most iconic characters in the saga and using their unique abilities. The announcement of this game came through a video dedicated to Days of Play: however, the footage was quickly removed. So we do not have full official status, but we are not far from it.
The first game, we remind you, is Call of Duty World War 2, another first person shooter. In this case, we will have to plow the battlefields of the Second World War. The Activision title is currently already one of the free games of the PS Plus of June 2020 and can be downloaded from the PS Store from yesterday, May 26, 2020. For now we don’t have a precise availability date for Star Wars Battlefront 2, but it is likely that it will be included in the subscription from next week, probably from June 2.
At that point, the previous free games of the PS Plus will leave the service, namely Farming Simulator 19 and Cities Skylines. The latter, we remind you, is also available on PS Now, for a limited time. Tell us, what do you think of the second free game of the PS Plus of June 2020?
To play the free games of the PS Plus you need a PlayStation 4: you can buy it on Amazon.
