Now it is also official. Olivier Giroud will stay at Chelsea next season. After being long approached and courted by Inter is Lazio during the winter market session, the French striker extended his contract with the Blues. The English club, in fact, announced that it had exercised the unilateral extension option for another season. Giroud will therefore play in Chelsea until June 2021.
Its extension was expected from April, but so far it had not been made official. Arriving in Chelsea in the winter of 2018, with 39 goals in 97 appearances, Giroud, 33, is the third leading scorer in the history of the French national team, behind Michel Platini (41) and Thierry Henry (51).
