Movements between regions, Boccia: “From June 3? If not at high risk” – Chronicle

Rome, 21 May 2020 – A sword of Damocles hangs over the displacements between regions provided by 3 June. “On interregional mobility I ask to have a little more patience. It will depend on the conditions of the region – explains Minister of Regional Affairs Francesco Boccia -. If it is a low risk region, it will likely be allowed to move from June 3. A monitoring system allows us to know if a region is low, medium or high risk. If a region is at high risk, it certainly won’t be able to receive inputs from other regions, but hopefully it won’t. ”

So which regions will be at risk? “Today the Italian regions are all at low risk and three at medium risk (Lombardy, Umbria, Molise, ed), but let’s talk about the data we have behind us. I hope they all become low risk next week. ”

Movements between neighboring regions

Situation not yet defined for travel between neighboring provinces and municipalities, but from different regions. A decree from the governor of Marche Ceriscioli allows you to move outside the region, within the limits of the neighboring province or municipality, for residents of provinces or municipalities located on the border between the Marche and other regions. Movements are allowed upon joint communication between the presidents of the Region, the presidents of the Provinces or the mayors of the Municipalities bordering each other with the competent prefects, similarly to the provisions of Bonaccini in the Emilia-Romagna ordinance.

Families reunited after the “wall” erected since March between the territories of the provinces of Rimini and Pesaro Urbino. The presidents of the respective provinces, Riziero Santi and Peppino Paolini, after hearing the prefects, signed an agreement that gives effect to the ordinances of the presidents of the respective regions to allow immediately the visit between relatives of the two neighboring provinces. A similar measure had been adopted on Monday for the neighboring municipalities between the provinces of Ravenna and Florence, thanks to the ordinances of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.

But in the evening the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza clarifies that travel between municipalities and provinces of neighboring regions can only be authorized for reasons of “absolute urgency”. Hope puts it black and white in a letter sent to the president of the Conference of the Regions Stefano Bonaccini. The minister reiterates that the provision to ban travel until June 2 “responds to the need for gradual easing of the measures taken”.
