Animal hunting in India
As in the first scene of catastrophic films. A herd of monkeys stormed a medical laboratory and, after attacking the technicians, escaped with some Covid-19 virus samples. It happened at Meerut Medical College in Delhi, India. One of the animals was subsequently spotted on a tree intent on gnawing one of the stolen kits.
An image that seems taken straight from a catastrophic Hollywood blockbuster. And not to say: the first scene of two cornerstones of the pandemic genre – “Lethal virus” and “28 days later” is just this. The monkeys, the laboratory, the virus. It doesn’t end well.
