The development team has recruited the first beta testers in recent days and from today has started, surprisingly, the roll out of the first Global Stable. It’s about the variant MI, therefore dedicated to international markets, e not of the EU variant, designed more specifically for the European market.
To be able to install it without particular difficulties it is necessary to wait for the normal roll out via OTA, but if you don’t want to wait and have the bootloader unlocked you can proceed through a custom recovery. If you try to install it through MIUI Updater, in fact, you will receive an error message, as the user is not authorized to update.
If you want to install the ROM immediately, you can download MIUI 12 using the links at the end of the article. At the moment MIUI 12 Global Stable is available and gradually roll out for Xiaomi Mi 9T / Redmi K20, Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro / Redmi K20 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9.
Remember that to install a custom recovery you need to unlock the bootloader, an operation that involves deleting the internal memory, so remember to make a backup of your data before proceeding with any other operation.
