The new Countryman is another Countryman. At Mini they decided to change and a lot: both the optical groups and the mask and bumpers are unprecedented, all without distorting the style that made it the best seller of the English brand. And yet the LED lights are standard on all the outfits, while behind them they offer the style of the Union Jack, but at the same time, the Matrix LEDs also debut, even as an option. The palette of available colors has also been expanded to which are added the new White Silver and Sage Green. Same goes for the new alloy wheels that are 16 or 19 inches. Finally, the exclusive Piano Black finish is also available, designed to personalize some external elements.

Mini Countryman 2020, the interior

The passenger compartment offers a leather-covered steering wheel, optional digital instrumentation with a 5 “screen, an updated central console and additional features of the Mini Connected services integrated in the infotainment with an 8.8-inch display. A new solution also for leather upholstery with the new Chester Indigo Blue and Chester Malt Brown variants and there is no shortage of updated options for the Mini Yours personalization line. In addition, the multimedia system now also includes Bluetooth as standard on all versions, in addition to adding an Amazon Alexa voice assistant that can work via an integrated Sim card.

The engines of the Mini Countryman

With the new Countryman, the engines do not change, but all have been evolved into thermal efficiency and approved according to the Euro 6d standard, introducing the particulate filter on gasoline and the SCR with AdBlue for diesel. At the top of the range are the Mini Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 with a 220 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain, six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and 9.6 kWh batteries that allow you to travel from 55 to 61 km in electric mode. Alternatively, you can choose between the 102 HP, One 136 HP, Cooper S 178 HP, One Diesel 116 HP, Cooper D 150 HP and Cooper SD 190 HP versions. ALL4 traction is standard on the Cooper SE and as an option on the Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and Cooper SD: the 8-speed automatic Steptronic is provided on the full petrol petrol, while on the One, One D, Cooper and Cooper S a front-wheel drive in addition to the manual, you can opt for the 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch automatic. Still to be defined the list prices, but also the timing of launch.
