“Whoever put Covid patients in the hospices is a community criminal. He committed a war crime in peacetime, practicing it extermination of the elderly“. So the Neapolitan writer Erri De Luca, guest of the new weekly study program ‘Exclamation point’, realized by Loft Productions and conducted by Luca Sommi, available on the website (www.iloft.it) and app every Tuesday at 5pm, replied to the conductor who asked him if he saw errors in the management of Lombard health care, a “model” that over the years has increasingly favored the private system at the expense of the public one. “What is private healthcare for? To nothing – said De Luca – Or, what has it been for in certain institutions, so-called ‘residences’, which are hospices in which they overthrew the patients of Covid and exterminated the population of these hospices, these landfill, where are we going to put our old people? There are certainly the ‘progressed’ of all kinds, no matter whether they are from Lombardy or elsewhere. Those who have allowed themselves to stuff Covid’s patients into those hospices are gods community criminals. They committed a war crime in peacetime, practicing it extermination of the elderly”, Concluded the writer.

‘Exclamation point’ is an original Loft program, available by subscription on the site and app of Loft every Tuesday at 5pm.

Support ilfattoquotidiano.it: never like now
we need you.

In these weeks of pandemic we journalists, if we do our job with conscience,
we do a public service. This is also why we are proud every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it
to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights,
expert interviews, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, has a great economic cost.
Advertising, in a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenues.
Not in line with the access boom. This is why I ask those who read these lines to support us.
To give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week,
                        fundamental for our work.

But now we are the ones who need you.
Because our work has a cost.
We are proud to be able to offer hundreds of new content every day for free to all citizens.
But advertising, in a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenues.
Not in line with the boom in access to ilfattoquotidiano.it.
For this reason I ask you to support us, with a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week.
A small but fundamental sum for our work. Help us out!
