Ricciardi: for Lombardy it was better to wait
Interviewed by La Stampa Walter Ricciardi, adviser to the minister of health Roberto Speranza and professor of hygiene at the Cattolica, he said that it was better for Lombardy to wait.
“Lombardy’s numbers still lead to caution,” he notes. “The challenge now – he adds – is to track down and isolate all the new positives early and I must say that it is being done well a bit throughout Italy. Every week we see some new outbreaks reigniting here and there, but they are immediately traced and extinguished ”. “Where the circulation of the virus is still intense – adds Ricciardi – one must be cautious, so for Lombardy a little bit of waiting would not hurt. But mine are scientific considerations, then it is up to politics to decide on the basis of other social and economic considerations “.
