June 2, Mattarella appoints 25 new work knights

The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, signed on 29 May 2020, the decrees with which, on the proposal of the Minister of Economic Development, Stefano Patuanelli, in consultation with the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies Teresa Bellanova, 25 new Knights of Labor were appointed. This was announced by a statement from the Quirinale.Established in 1901, the honor of Cavaliere del Lavoro is awarded every year on the occasion of the Republic Day to Italian citizens, also residing abroad, who have distinguished themselves in the sectors of agriculture, industry, commerce, crafts and credit and insurance business. Requirements are to have operated in your sector on an ongoing basis, and for at least twenty years, with independent responsibility, making a significant contribution to economic and production development. Considering the new investitures, from 1901 to today the beneficiaries of the attestation of merit have been 2,822. The Knights of Labor are gathered in a special Federation.
