It happened in Meerut, India: a group of monkeys attacked a laboratory technician and ran away with blood samples from patients who tested positive for Covid-19. The alarm went off immediately due to the risk that the “stolen property” could be brought to densely populated areas of the area and could potentially spread the virus.
A group of monkeys attacked a laboratory assistant and fled taking test samples from patients potentially infected with the coronavirus. The bizarre (and dangerous) accident occurred at the Medical College of Meerut, the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

The alarm went off immediately

The “attack” occurred when the lab technician was walking on campus, the monkeys grabbed and fled with the blood samples of four COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment. Now, the fear is that animals may carry “stolen goods” in densely populated areas, favoring the spread of the virus.

The first reconstructions

According to the first reconstructions, during the attack a monkey broke a champion. While another was seen later while on a tree he chewed the kit to collect samples for the coronavirus test.
