In Italy another 117 people died from consequences derived from the coronavirus with the total reaching 32,955. Yesterday the figure was 78. This is what the Department of Civil Protection released in today’s bulletin on Sunday 24 May. The number of deaths has risen again: of the 117 total victims 58 have been registered in Lombardy, a region that returns to show a rise in numbers.In the last 24 hours in our country there are 584 more cases, of which 384 in Lombardy and 73 in Piedmont. Today’s total, explains the Lombardy Region, also includes 168 swabs “carried out following serological tests made on the initiative of individual citizens tried by the ATS of Bergamo in the last seven days”. But national buffers also increased, (67,324 on the last day) almost ten thousand more than yesterday. On the other hand, the number of extra positives in Liguria falls below 40 while the rest of Italy remains under control with low numbers with 14 regions under ten cases and five at zero: Marche, Basilicata, Valle d’Aosta, Umbria and the autonomous province of Bolzano.

2443 others have recovered and consequently the number of people currently positive has fallen to just under 51 thousand, with a decrease of 1,976 units. There are 505 ICU patients, 16 fewer than yesterday and 7,729 hospitalized with symptoms, 188 fewer.

In addition to the 58 deaths in Lombardy, 16 victims are in Piedmont, 9 in Veneto, 8 in Lazio, 7 in Liguria, 7 in Emilia Romagna, 6 in Tuscany, 2 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1 in Campania. 1 in Puglia, 1 in Sicily, 1 in the autonomous province of Trento. Zero dead in Molise, Basilicata, Calabria, Valle d’Aosta, Sardinia, Umbria, autonomous province of Bolzano, Abruzzo, Marche

Covid-19 cases in Italy since the beginning of the emergency are now 231,139 (584 more than yesterday), of which 33,072 died and 147,101 recovered, 2,443 in the last twenty-four hours. The number of currently positive in our country is 50,966 people, yesterday it was 52,942, a decrease of 1,976 units.

The swabs made to date are 3,607,251, 67,324 on the last day. The number of people actually tested is 2,290,551. Recall that each person can be subjected to more than one tampon.

There are 505 ICU patients, 16 fewer than yesterday. Of these, 175 are in Lombardy (-8). There are 7,729 inpatients with symptoms, 188 fewer, and 42,732 (-1772) people in home isolation.

As for the victims, Lombardy 15,954 (+58), Piedmont 3,828 (+16), Emilia-Romagna 4,083 (+7), Veneto 1,895 (+9), Tuscany 1,027 (+6), Liguria 1,438 (+7), Lazio 701 (+8 ), Marche 996 (+0), Campania 406 (+1), Autonomous Province of Trento 462 (+1), Puglia 495 (+1), Sicily 272 (+1), Friuli Venezia Giulia 331 (+2), Abruzzo 400 (+0), Autonomous Province of Bolzano 291 (+0), Umbria 75 (+0), Sardinia 130 (+0), Valle d’Aosta 143 (+0), Calabria 96 (+0), Basilicata 27 ( +0), Molise 22 (+0). The swabs so far are 3,607,251, an increase of 67,324 compared to the previous day. The cases tested so far are 2,290,551.
