In Japan, a man believed to be responsible for the attack last July against Kyoto Animation, an important animation studio in Kyoto, was arrested. On July 18, a fire started at the office of the study caused 36 deaths and several injuries. The arrested man, Shinji Aoba, was also involved in the fire, causing burns all over his body and remaining unconscious for several weeks.

Aoba is 42 years old and was the only person suspected of the attack, but the police waited for his recovery before arresting him. The Japanese news agency Kyodo News he writes that following his arrest, Aoba would confess and that he would motivate his gesture by claiming that the Kyoto Animation would “steal a story”.
