Gold at the 1992 Paralympic Games

Carlo Durante had a packed board. He won gold at the Barcelona Paralympics in 1992, obtained silver in those of Atalanta ’96 and bronze of Sydney 2000 and returned at the age of 58 at the 2004 Athens Games. During he won the World title in 1994 and was champion of Europe three times (1991, 1993, 1997), and it was also an Italian championship between the blind between 1990 and 2004. He has participated in over 70 marathons, including those in New York, Boston and London, in addition to all the main ones held in Italy. He also received a gold medal, four silver and five bronze medals for Sporting Merit.
