As a footballer, after the youth in the ranks of the Fiorentina, Simoni made his Serie B debut with the Mantova, winning the promotion in A, and then he played wearing the shirts of Naples, turin, Juventus, Brescia is Genoa.
However, he is remembered above all for his coaching career.
