(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 28 – While integrating an online part, the
Giffoni Film Festival, the great festival created by Claudio
Gubitosi for the younger audience, starts again for the 50 / a
edition with its ‘physical’ part (regulated by inputs
quotas and the most careful security measures) and yes
multiply by four.
From 18 to 22 August there will be the program for children +16
and +18, with 305 jurors in the Campania town (75 for the
masterclass) and 1300 in Italian (34) and international ‘hubs’
(17). From 25 to 29 August the ‘Giffoners’ of the
age group +13 (305 in Giffoni and 1300 in ‘external’ hubs in
Italy and worldwide). There will also be a part of activity and
events throughout the autumn and from 26 to 30 December space for +6
and +10, with 1,500 boys and girls distributed over five days
of the review.
It is the first Italian film festival to start again
even with an ‘on site’ part: “I wanted to give a strong sign of
existence and resistance also to my region, to Italy, to
world of cinema, art and culture – explains Gubitosi
in the online press conference -. A strong blow of confidence
against a depression that frightens us “.
They have so far joined the festival, among others,
Sergio Castellitto, Raoul Bova, Valentina Bellè and Benedetta
Porcaroli. There will also be five meetings with large online
international stars: “I can’t name names yet, but there are
contacts in progress and soon we will tell you everything, even the titles of the
great previews we will have. “The 6500 boys who had already been
selected as jurors for the 2020 edition they will be able to
participate in the 2021 one that Gubitosi would like to call
“50 plus edition”. (HANDLE).
