Fontana, Azzolina, Sileri. Three politicians under escort for threats received. Three people of different orientation and with different institutional responsibilities.

The “vehicle” of the “warnings” is as always the web. Attacks by organized groups of professional haters who work to poison the social climate, are targeted, scientific, useful to target in several political directions and above all to gather various “sentiment“. For Attilio Fontana, the governor of Lombardy, may be that of those who hold him responsible for the catastrophic management of Covid in the region he governs, for the Minister of Education, Lucia Azzolina, the dissatisfaction of the precarious teacher, for the deputy minister of health, Pierpaolo Sileri, health management. Political criticism (just and sacrosanct in all three cases) has little or nothing to do with it, here we are faced with something else, something very more worrying.

There is a broad front, located in the political area of the extreme right, which blows on the fire of the social desease caused bysanitary emergency. Active groups that need to survive to keep the flames always on. Subjects at ease on the Net, who know how to move in the complex world of social networks, and who focus on the dissatisfactions that the late and insufficient action of the government arouses in large sections of the population. It is a’ “political area “ which, due to the pandemic emergency, can no longer ride some traditional battle horses. immigration in the first place. “Invading” immigrants are no longer useful in the game of fear, and then we focus on “Italian who is hungry”, on the impoverished VAT number, on the undeclared worker, on the middle class precipitated to the lowest levels of the social scale.

In the coming months these subjects will focus heavily on South, where the effects of the crisis are and will be more devastating. From Caserta until Cassibile, the GDP will fall by 18 points, the risk of closure for businesses is four times higher than that of the North. These are data that make us foresee that the 900,000 unemployed officers, and the army of undocumented workers (1.5 million) will add another tens of thousands. These are numbers that hide the suffering and discomfort of millions of people. A very fertile humus for each type of maneuver if there is no action in time with massive policies income support and financing to companies for the construction of job opportunities.

The time has not yet expired, but we must hurry. I’m at stake democracy of this country and its unity.

In these weeks of pandemic we journalists, if we do our job with conscience,
we do a public service. This is also why we are proud every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it
to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights,
expert interviews, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, has a great economic cost.
Advertising, in a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenues.
Not in line with the access boom. This is why I ask those who read these lines to support us.
To give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week,
                        fundamental for our work.

Not in line with the boom in access to ilfattoquotidiano.it.
This is why I ask you to support us, with a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week.
