Almost 300 thousand euros in smoke, or rather shattered. This is the cost of one Ferrari 488 GTB like the one that was the unfortunate protagonist of a accident happened on Saturday 24 May in London, with the Maranello redhead who ended up against a bus in the city, reporting more than a few scratches. From the images circulating on the web, in fact, the front of the Ferrari 488 GTB was completely destroyed in the clash with a double-decker, the traditional red double-decker English buses.
A $ 3 million Ferrari Enzo
The accident was said to have taken place in broad daylight on Northumberland Avenue near Westminster. According to British media reports there would be no victims and no complaints, even if it seems that among the people involved in the accident there was the rapper Swarmz, famous overseas. It is not clear however if the singer was driving or simply the owner of the vehicle. From the images that appeared online, it is clear that the 488 GTB crashed into the side of the bus even if the exact dynamics of the incident is still to be verified. The only positive aspect of this unfortunate story is that there seems to have been no damage to the rear of the Ferrari: the Maranello jewel will hardly be recoverable but what is certain is that something can definitely be done to its engine that should not have been affected in any way by the consequences of the accident. As for the bus, most of the side was destroyed, with at least a couple of rows of seats that ended up between the sheets. Also in this case it is not clear whether there were passengers inside the vehicle.
The centrally-mounted rear engine of the Ferrari 488 GTB is a 3.9 liter bi-turbo V8 in capable of delivering 670 HP at 8000 rpm and boasts a maximum torque of 760 Nm at 3000 rpm. It is able to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds and cover 0-200 km / h in 8.3 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 330 km / h.
