October 21 2018 Kimi Raikkonen managed to sign his last victory in Ferrari, triumphing authoritatively at the end of the United States Grand Prix in Austin. The success was significant for the Finn, already aware that he would abandon Maranello at the end of the championship, as he arrived five years after the last victory, which arrived in Australia 2013 for Lotus. The 40-year-old from Espoo thus ended his experience in Ferrari after eight years, divided into two parts (2007-2009 and 2014-2018) and seasoned with the title won on his debut as standard bearer of the Prancing Horse, to date the last Red triumph in the drivers’ championship.
This morning one special delivery knocked on the door of Raikkonen’s residence: Ferrari gave the 2007 world champion the single-seater with which he won the last race, just the SF71H of Austin 2018. The Finnish pilot himself documented the event through the stories published on Instagram, the first with an eloquent: “Thanks Scuderia Ferrari“And the second with a ‘Raikkonian’:”With this I won in the USA in 2018“.
