F1, let’s go: go ahead for the first two races of the season


There is still no officiality from the Fia, but it is simply a formality given the decisive confirmation by the Austrian government: the Formula 1 can finally start the 2020 season and will do so at Red Bull Ring, in Austria, the next July 5.

After the stop on the eve of Australian Grand Prix in early March and the long interruption for the pandemic, the twenty cars registered in the 2020 world championship they can therefore take to the track in what will be an unpublished double date.

In fact, there will be two races to be played on the Austrian circuit: after that of July 5 there will in fact be one second, on the same track, seven days later, on July 12th. Both races, the Austrian health minister said Rudolf Anschober, will take place in closed doors.

As regards the security protocols of the two races on Austrian soil, the paddock will not be able to host more than five hundred people, and all those who will come to Austria from abroad, Italy including, will be subjected to test to detect the presence of the virus.

Furthermore, the choice ofairport for those who go to Austria from abroad: they will be authorized to enter the Red Bull Ring only the people who will land at Zeltweg, a few kilometers from the circuit.
